Erecting an Historic Black Marble Plaque Monument in the Shaolin Temple
If you wish to have your name engraved on this monument there are still 2 weeks left!
The most famous martial arts entity in the world, from where most martial arts are derived, is the Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng, China.
At a meeting with the Abbott of Shaolin on December 22, 2012, Grandmaster William Cheung was invited to erect a 20 foot tall black marble plaque in the corridor of the entrance to this Shaolin Temple. The Abbott also appointed Grandmaster Cheung to head all other lineages of Wing Chun organizations around the world to bring Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu back to its birthplace - the Shaolin Temple.
For the past 50 years, only one martial arts organization - The Japan Shaolin Temple, was invited to erect a marble plaque in the Shaolin Temple, Dengfeng. The two smaller plaques pictured right, were erected over 100 years ago.
The approximate cost of erecting this historic 20 foot high black marble plaque is US$50,000.
We therefore invite all members of the GTWCKFA, other organizations and other martial arts organizations and their members to donate to this special task.
Individuals who donate more than US$1,000 and organizations which donate more than US$2,000 will receive the honour of their name being engraved on the plaque.
